Rector of UIN Maliki Attends Thanksgiving Ceremony for HTN Program Accreditation and Semester Coordination Meeting of the Faculty of Sharia

SHARIA – On Wednesday, August 21, 2024, the Faculty of Sharia held a semester coordination meeting, combined with a celebration for the accreditation success of the State Administrative Law (HTN) Program. The event was attended by the entire academic community of the Faculty of Sharia, Vice Rectors 1 and 4, and the Rector of UIN Maliki Malang.

In his welcoming speech, Prof. Zainuddin, M.A., Rector of UIN Maliki, highlighted that the Faculty of Sharia is one of the leading faculties in terms of achievements. Following the Scopus recognition, the faculty has added another excellent program to its list of successes.

“Therefore, when proposing research collaboration with the University of Malaya, I immediately approved it for the Faculty of Sharia because it has proven its reliability and achieved numerous accomplishments,” stated Prof. Zainuddin.

The Rector also extended special congratulations to the HTN Program and offered the first piece of the ceremonial tumpeng (a traditional Indonesian rice dish) to the Head of the HTN Program during the cutting ceremony. He also expressed his hopes for the IAT and HKI Programs, which are currently in the process of applying for accreditation and preparing for visitations.

Following the speeches from the Dean and the Rector, the event continued with a presentation by Prof. Dr. Ummi Sumbulah. The presentation covered the responsibilities, rights, and academic potential that UIN Maliki faculty members, including those from the Faculty of Sharia, can explore.

Next, the semester coordination meeting was led by the Dean’s team of the Faculty of Sharia. During the meeting, the Dean urged the faculty members to engage in collaborative work to achieve the 2024 Key Performance Indicators (KPI). In response, Vice Dean 1, Dr. Zaenul Mahmudi, outlined several potential collaborations that could support the faculty members in fulfilling the university’s Tridharma, or the three main responsibilities of higher education institutions. These collaborations extend not only to national institutions but also to international universities. Finally, Vice Dean 2 of the Faculty of Sharia, Dr. Erfaniah Zuhriah, encouraged all faculty members to enhance their academic performance.
